One of the highlights of the week was the creation of a renku comprised of individual haiku written to create one long work.  The group's renku has already been published in the winter issue of SIMPLY HAIKU.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Singer/Songwriter and Writer-in-Residence Anne Lister's CD. "Singing on the Wind" is made up primarily of songs written while on retreat at Anam Cara.  The centrepiece to the CD is a song written after she spent time with the Hag of Beara, a ancient stone said to be the wife of the king of the sea who turned to stone waiting for him to return.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Artist-in-Residence Eileen Wagner found one of the "nooks and crannies" with a view of the fields in front of Mishkish mountain in which to work.  It seems to rain about 1/3 of the time here, but "it" is the only one that knows when that will be.  Because Beara is almost like an island, the rain often comes during the night leaving most days dry often warm enough to work in situ.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Actor and Writer-in-Residence Barbara Babcock is just about to enjoy a breakfast made from the eggs that she just gathered from the hen house.  Feeding the hens and ducks and gathering the eggs from both are two of the voluntary "farm chores" that writers- and artists-in-residence can take on as a change of pace from their own projects.]]></description>
