Moon over mountains
In the village street
a piebald horse
The fiddler's wife
watching his fingers move
knits him a scarf
On a moonlit road
inside this car her song beats
against the window
With a few notes
plucked from six taut strings
I cross the world
Circle of stones
I arrive in haste
leave slowly
At this ancient temple
I make my offering
flowers on stone
